The other mantra I have is decide whether you want to be right or happy!

"Benevolent Dictatorship" sounds about right.
Rumpole of the Bailey often referred to his wife Hilda as "She who must be obeyed...", which I always found to be sensible advice.
I met a lady well actually a young girl, well old enough anyway. I used to take the other side of any 'discussion' and we have been married now these 63 years.
However, she, her, my missus, worked out that if 'it', was just done, there was no argument, and I have lived with this benevolent dictatorship ever since! We settled down to what we each do best. She chooses and selects where we live, which house and holiday destinations and she is good at it too. No regrets whatever. I was a manager at work and just blended in when I got home, reading bed time stories was a treat for me.
Ah! Those were the days, our son was 60 last year and our daughter 2 years behind, so it was a long while ago.

Mmmm, well, only really one way not to be caught alive by jumping into a billabong I would suggest.
And anyway, Roy, its a folkloreish song, not a coronial inquest, give me a break already...

Up jumped the swagman, leapt into the billabong,
You'll never catch me alive, said he,
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by the billabong,
Who'll come a-waltzing, Matilda, with me?
For the most part, most are. But not all.
In the song "Waltzing Matilda", the sheep(jumbuck) stealing 'swagman' jumps into to a billabong and drowns to avoid capture by "...the troopers, one, two, three...".
Mainly a low lying area that connects two parts of the same river, usually at a bend, during floods, also the breeding ground for most native fish.
So, very much alive.

I don’t understand the Royal Navy’s derogatory views on the Fleet Air Arm, they saved the navy’s bacon over and over again
Ummm, by their nature, aren't ALL fish predatory? I bet they are to whatever food they eat.
And, a 'shark' is the only predatory fish around here, as far as I know, and that doesn't fit.
So, once again, I yield.
Sure do, now, take that movie and pump it full of steroids.
Remove the proper military command, replace with unqualified, sychophantic, idiots and a zillion times more firepower, and we arrive at 2026.
I just hope there is a director somewhere ready to say..."Cut".
The 'Scorched Earth' policy!
