I saw that TV programme too, an awesome sight she and her sistership made, but the impression I received was that she was never really given the chance to prove herself in battle. Perhaps I should qualify that by saying ' just as well'.

I sold a un built kit about a year ago for $250.00 (USD).
It was all there with motor/drive for the props and motor and drive for the Turrets. This kit is list on various auction sites for a lot more money but no one buys them. I also believe that there are a lot of brass upgrades for this model

I remember drooling over this model kit in the mid seventies when I worked in Michael's Models of North Finchley, didn't buy it ultimately 'cos it was quite expensive even then ➕ I didn't have the room to build it... ooohh well !!! 🤣

Hi Dom, is this a model of the YAMATO from plastic kit company Nichimo? I believe they made one some years ago in 1/200 scale, but is now quite rare, and if you do find one for sale, a bit pricey, still it looks good on the water.😊
