   Hi Nerys
   This is so reminiscent of my first build, the Billings Mercantic. Still have her but in need of a complete restoration. Pic attached of Mercantic at New Brighton in the early 1970's
   I like how you have built and hope it sails as well as mine did.

   Thanks for the compliment Doug. Yes, I agree, the ballast needs to go further forward, but I didn't bother this morning, conditions were not nice, t'will be done before the next voyage. Sailed the barge for a short time too, but she was laying over with water on the hatches in the squalls. Discretion is the better part of valour and I'm old enough to be a fair weather sailor these days.

   You might want to shift the battery (or ballast?) forward a little?
   She looks a tad stern heavy 😉
