   You're right, she has no keel; but I managed to reach all corners of the pond. This was good enough for me. I had to use fore sail and main sail as well as the leeboards to keep here on course or turn through the wind, quite a challenge. Capsizing has never been a real problem, ease of the sheets did the trick.
   As soon as my Celia Jane goes on the water, also without a keel, I'll see how she is doing. The test in the bathtub showed she can handle enough inclination, after I put some lead in the hull.

   Presumably you have not fitted a keel to her, so how does she sail, particularly to windward ? Model Thames Barges, which have a very similar hull shape, and of course the leeboards, are not successful without a keel and have a tendency to capsize.
   In saying this, I am in no way critisizing your model, I like the look of her and think you have made a good job of her.

   Actually it's German. Finkenwerder is a small town near Hamburg.
   The Ewer was used to go fishing on the North Sea.

   Yes, it was sailing quite well; no prop.
   I build the hull from stripes of wood and it is now leaking at the stern.
   The mechanical components have been removed for use in my new boats, so it will not sail anymore.
   I'm now concentrating on the Celia Jane and the Steamer.

   I see no prop, only rudder.
   
   Remove the hatch, place in a tub of water to see what happens?
   
   Did you build the model?
   Did you do a float, ballast test prior to securing the deck?

   Nice looking boat.My question to you would be if you can seal the inside using finishing z-poxy. If there is a prop shaft check to see if the water may be coming in there also check rudder shaft.
